Rumor has it... Mikey is back???  Feb 8th 2007

According to a reliable source (ESPN's level of integrity), Boston Hurricanes'
legend Michael Yih will be coming back to Boston!!!

Hold your horses however!!! He is only going to come back for Chinese New Year.
Nevertheless, rumors are still flying rampant, as teams are fighting for Mikey's
service, even for just one game, albeit a playoff game no less!!!

The early word is that Mikey will likely team up with his good old buddy and
partner-in-crime Johnson Lam (see the picture above), and help Shogunz advance
to the Final Four of this ultra-competitive BasketballCity Winter League. Stay tune
as this drama unfolds!!!

Desmond Lui led his team in a victory over the Hurricanes 2K4

On the night when Justin Timberlake held his concert next door, Demolition
eliminated any playoff hope for Hurricanes 2K4. Ocho was dominant from the
beginning, hitting all sorts of shot, en routing to a game-high 23 points.

The game was actually closely-contested for the first three quarter of the game.
Led by Ricky Kim's 15 points, as well as balance scoring from Che Yii (10pts),
Kenny Lee (10pts), and Victor Chow (10pts), Hurricanes 2K4 was able to match
Ocho and Demolition's offense. Nevertheless, as it has been the same issue with
2K4 this season, numerous bad turnovers and poor transition defense have once
again hurt 2K4. In the end, Kevin Woo's 19 points, along with several key baskets
from Chi Lai and Alan Yu, helped Demolition finished 2K4 by 9 points, 65-56.

Ocho, who has been averaging 23 points over his last three games, has become
Demolition's leading scorer at 17.0 points a game, eclipsing Kevin Woo's 16.8
points a game. This is the first time in nearly three years that Kevin is not the
leading scorer on his team, and Ocho is the first player to do so since Mike Yih.

In other news, Shogunz bounced back from last week's bad loss and beat Grove,
securing a spot in the 2007 Winter League playoff. From the start of the game,
Shogunz was able to get easy transition baskets and score from its half-court
offense. On the other hand, Grove's top sharp shooters struggled on both end of
the court and had trouble finding the bottom of net all night.

However, in second half, after Johnson Lam (9pts) went down with a minor sprain
ankle, Shogunz struggled with their offense. When Grove cut the double-digit lead
down to 4 points, Albert Chin took over the game, as he scored 9 of his team-high
12 points in the second half.

Dan Moy, who has chipped in 10 points, has been playing very well of late,
averaging 8.0 points over the last three games. Sammy Moy has also found his
touch for the first time this season and finished with 8 points. This goes to show
anything can happen when Justin wiggles his sexy back at the Garden!
