Johnson Lam is Paul Pierce in 2006. Like the Truth, Johnson is playing the best
basketball in his career by averaging 35.7 points over his last 3 games. What is
even more impressive is that he is doing this against double and triple teams. Quite
simply, no one can stop Johnson right now, as he can score in the post, shoot 3s,
pull up jumpers, offensive put backs, fast break, and dribble penetration.
Unfortunately, like Pierce, he is having a difficult time in pulling his team through
tough losses.
Last night, Johnson had another gem, dropping 29 points on 2004 and at one
point, stretching the lead to 17 points in the 1st half. However, in the 2nd half,
behind a balance attack from Victor, Ralph, Chanan and Ricky, 2004 eventually
got back into the game and took the lead for good (62-60) with 1 minute left on a
layup by Chanan, assisted by Kenny. 2004 then went on to hit 7 out of 8 free
throws to put the game away. The final score is 69-63. Ricky led 2004 with 21
points. Ralph and Chanan each chipped in 11 points. Christian Tran had 15 points
in the losing effort.

In the other game between Demolition and Giants, Kevin and Chi, despite both
having a poor shooting night, kept the game close throughout. However, a decisive
11-2 run with 7 minutes left by Giant proved to be too much. Demolition did caught
back within 2 points with 30 seconds left due to Giant's poor free throw shooting,
but on the subsequent possession, Demolition gave up a wide open layup, killing
the comeback momentum. Kevin matched his career high and scored 35 points
and Chi added 23 points in the losing effort.
