Shi Mei is already in Mid-season form
Team Mesa matched up with the new look Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Behind
solid post plays from Che Yii and Brandan Sang, Hurricanes were able to take
control of the game early on. In the second half, Albert Chin and Ricky Kim came
up big and seemingly secured the victory for the canes. Yet, a couple mental
errors cost them the game in the end. Picture is worth a thousand words... so the
following clips will help me illustrate what happened down the stretch.
1. Down 2 with 12 seconds left, Ribs 2. Ribs calmly stepped up and hit
took to the hold and draw the fouls... both free throws...
3. After Che turned over the ball, Brandon 4. Christian opened the overtime with a
saved the game by blocking Johnson in layup, off a simple matchup error by
the last second of regulation... the hurricanes...
5. Ricky Kim was called for a charge that 6. Che was also called for a charge,
could have tied the game... costing Hurricanes' last chance.

Brandon is the newest member of Hurricanes!! He is a 6-2 center from NYC, and
he grew up playing for NY USAB Warriors. Currently, Brandon is a freshman at
Northeastern (yes, he is 18 years old). Let's welcome him to the club!
1. Congrats to Beaver who has just won the Hurricanes' March Madness Bracket
Challenge and 2 tickets to Boston Red Sox home opener. It is scary how accurate
Beaver was in picking the winners. I wish he can help me with stock picks!!!
2. If you get the chance to see Kenny Lee and Victor Chow... be sure to
congratulate them, as they are both preparing to be get married soon.
3. Lastly... well fellas, I guess I will be staying in Boston and
continue to be part of the Hurricanes after all!!! I have recently
been accepted to the MBA program @ MIT Sloan, and I am totally
psyched!! Let me know if you need help with GMAT and B-school
application. I will be happy to help!
